As the Flood Control District team focuses on assessing, clearing, and repairing our flood damage reduction infrastructure, we are concurrently working to secure funding necessary to repair our existing infrastructure and implement billions of dollars’ worth of shovel-ready flood risk management plans to improve our region’s resiliency.
As an agency, we are planning to conduct an organized press briefing September 18, offering media representatives throughout our community the opportunity to learn more about the Flood Control District’s response and future plans related to Hurricane Harvey. You will be proactively notified in advance as soon as a time and location are confirmed.
