Project Brays Construction Update for Almeda Road Bridge

The Almeda Road bridge over Brays Bayou is scheduled to close to traffic and pedestrians beginning Friday, April 16th. The bridge closure is part of the construction project to demolish and replace the current bridge with a new higher, longer and wider bridge

This will increase the capacity of the channel, allowing for more water to flow under the bridge. The new bridge will include five 11-foot wide lanes, a left turn lane and 10-foot sidewalks. The bridge closure and replacement is scheduled to last approximately one year.
