HCFCD PROJECT ID: K100-00-00-P007
The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a Community Engagement Meeting to discuss the Cypress Creek Implementation Program. The purpose of this meeting is to inform residents about the status of the program and share information about the implementation plan.
The Cypress Creek Implementation Program provides a watershed-wide approach to executing flood risk reduction projects in the Cypress Creek watershed. The program provides a holistic view of watershed activity and enables the Flood Control District to deliver projects efficiently in a heavily developed area. The program addresses the implementation of recommendations from the Regional Drainage Plan and Environmental Investigation for Major Tributaries in the Cypress Creek Watershed (Bond ID CI-035), completed in 2020, and considers other ongoing projects in the watershed. Projects recommended by the program may receive funding through the 2018 Bond Program, which was approved by Harris County voters on August 25, 2018. Community engagement is an important component of the Bond Program, and we invite your participation as the program is implemented.
