The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a Community Engagement Meeting for the Arbor Oaks Stormwater Detention Basin Project. The purpose of this meeting is to inform residents about the status of the Arbor Oaks Stormwater Detention Basin Project and share project information.
The Arbor Oaks Stormwater Detention Basin Project will provide additional stormwater storage capacity in the White Oak Bayou watershed. This project will be funded through a $10.8 million grant from the Natural Resources Conservation Service and with funds from the 2018 Bond Program which were approved by Harris County voters on August 25, 2018. Community engagement is an important component of the Bond Program, and we invite your participation as the program is implemented.

The meeting will begin with a brief presentation to share project updates, followed by a moderated Q&A session with Flood Control District team members. Residents will be able to submit questions and comments throughout the presentation. Any comments not addressed during the Q&A session will receive a response after the event.
