Virtual Community Engagement Meeting for the Tributary C143-00-00 Drainage Improvements Project

The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a virtual community engagement meeting for the Tributary C143-00-00 Drainage Improvements Project located in the Sims Bayou watershed. The purpose of this meeting is to inform residents about the project’s status, share project information, and gather important community input on this effort.

The Tributary C143-00-00 Drainage Improvements Project aims to reduce flood risks in the watershed adjacent to channel C143-00-00, a tributary of Sims Bayou, through a combination of channel conveyance improvements, culvert improvement, and the creation of stormwater detention basins as recommended by the project’s planning study. This project is funded through the 2018 Bond Program, which was approved by Harris County voters on August 25, 2018. Community engagement is a foundational component of the Bond Program, and we invite your participation and input as projects are implemented.
